Theology on Tap brings gospel to ‘a casual atmosphere’

Dozens of people filled the bar of J.D. McGillicuddy’s in Havertown on a recent Monday night for Sacred Heart Parish’s semi-annual Theology on Tap series titled, “Three Priests Walk into a Bar.” Among them were Fr. Henry McKee, Sacred Heart’s pastor; Fr. Mike Speziale, of Archbishop Carroll High School, and Fr. Jim DeGrassa, of Resurrection of Our Lord Parish in Philadelphia. This marked the fourth time Sacred Heart held this night of faith, fellowship and fun. For season of mercy, Mercy lights its tree

As the December days go by, it continues to look and sound more like Christmas. Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby helped ring in the holiday season by hosting its Annual Live Nativity, Tree Lighting and Visit with Santa last Tuesday in the front horseshoe driveway on Lansdowne Ave. “It’s a very strong tradition,” said Executive Director/Administrator Susan Cusack. “It grows each year.” Hospital employees participated in a live nativity scene for about 100 spectators consisting of colleagues, patients, their families and members of the community.
