Sun Valley High School junior, Jacqueline Scheck, has been selected for the prestigious All National Honor Ensembles Mixed Choir.  She is the first student in her high school’s history to receive this honor.

Scheck was previously selected to participate in the PMEA District and Region Choir festivals and the PA All State Choir.  Following her participation in the All State Choir, her choral director, Nicole Moyer, recorded and submitted an audition tape that led to Scheck’s selection into the 2016 All-National Honor Ensembles Mixed Choir.

She is one of a very select few to be chosen from the PA All State Choir to perform in the elite All National Honor Choir.

“I’m so excited to have gone this far in my first year doing this,” said Scheck.  “It’s an incredible experience and I’m honored to be a part of it.”

The 2016 All National program takes place all this week at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. The guest conductor will be Dr. Anton Armstrong, Tosdal professor of Music at St. Olaf College.

“I am very proud of Jacqueline,” Moyer said. “She is such a dedicated, hardworking and talented young person. I cannot say enough about her accomplishments in choir this year. She is a great example for my choir members and I know that she has even more greatness in her future.”
