By the smile on the face of Folcroft officer Christopher Dorman, it is hard to believe that less than two weeks ago he was shot seven times while on duty.

Dorman, driven by Councilman Larry Penny, was grand marshal of the annual Folcroft 4th of July parade on Monday.

Some waving American flags, residents lined the streets to watch the parade which included emergency personnel, motorcycle groups, the Folcroft Boys and Girls clubs, the Folcroft Union Church, Folcroft Swim Club team,  and more.

“I love parades,” said Roma Wilkerson, “especially floats with the kids on them. Everybody looks so happy that it makes me happy, too.”

The parade was planned by a committee whose members were Councilwomen Christine Peterson and Michele Rafter, and residents Nick Marino, Caitlin Peterson, Nick Marino, III, and John DeFuria, Jr.
