Morton Borough’s Fourth of July celebration will begin with parade registration at 10 a.m. with the line of march stepping off at 11 a.m. from the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) headquarters on Yale Ave. at Sylvan Ave.

Parade participants will include drill teams, floats, decorated bicycles, baby carriages and wagons, marchers dressed in patriotic costumes, and, unique to this year’s parade, the best dressed “Morton Salt Girl.”

The parade route will include Yale Ave., crossing the SEPTA Media-Elwyn train tracks, Morton Ave. and ending at Borough Hall, Highland Ave. and Alfa Terrace. Parade participants will be treated to refreshments. Activities for children, including a moon bounce, will take place after the parade at the athletic field next to the Morton-Rutledge Firehouse on Alfa Terrace.
