Aston commissioners, via resolution, approved a final subdivision and land development plan submitted by Tamora Builders for a parcel of ground located on the east side of Pennell Road, approximately 250 feet north of Lehr Blvd.
Tamora proposes to construct an Urgent Care facility, utilizing three storefronts. A physical therapy facility is currently planned for the remaining two storefronts.
The plans were previously approved by the Aston Township Planning Commission.
Commissioner Mike Higgins said Urgent Care is the largest company of its kind in the United States.
“You will probably begin seeing activity there this month.” Higgins said.
In other matters, a $31,930 contract was awarded to Charles A. Higgins and Sons, Inc. for the installation of multimodal fiber optic cable in a conduit along a portion of Pennell Road. The contract will be 100 percent funded by an Arle grant.
