Brookhaven Council recently adopted a resolution honoring resident Julianne Cadden for her kindness and compassion toward children in need of comfort.

The daughter of James and Paula Cadden, Julianne is a student at Northley Middle School and member of the Northley Middle School National Junior Honor Society.

She learned from her father, a police officer in East Lansdowne, that upon answering a call, the child in the home had nothing with which to play.

Julianne became quite upset by this and decided to collect coloring books, new crayons, small stuffed animals, books, puzzles and toys. She delivered them to the East Lansdowne Police Department to be handed out to children in an effort to distract and comfort them while police are dealing with others involved in the home or location.
