More than 125 residents, government officials and friends attended Brookhaven Borough’s annual Veteran’s Day commemoration last Saturday at the borough’s municipal center.

Harry Seth, commander of American Legion Post #94 served as master of ceremonies, Councilwoman Denise Leslie offered welcoming remarks, and Pastor Ben Grenier, of the Full Gospel Assembly, provided the invocation. The National Anthem was played by former Sun Valley High School music teacher Lynn Stauffer and the St. James High School Alumni Choir performed a number of patriotic songs. 

W-VETS- #202 ROTC

Members of the Sun Valley High School JRROTC provided a rifle salute.

Sun Valley Chorus members, Zoe Tutlo, India Jarmon and Em Jones sang “God Bless America” and “God Bless the USA.”

A patriotic poem was read by second grade student Ryan Mazon, whose parents served in the military.

Post 94 Vice Commander Tom Foster read a resolution decreeing that the POW/MIA chair be recognized at every American Legion meeting of any kind.
