Two major events, Aston’s Community Day and Chester City’s Riverfront Ramble, have been postponed due to inclement weather predicted this weekend.

Both events were scheduled for Oct. 3rd.  Aston’s Community Day 2015, has been postponed to its rain date, Oct. 10th. Chester is still deciding on a rain date for the Riverfront Ramble.

Aston Business Association is hosting the township’s 13th annual Community Day. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. Participants can receive advance wristbands through Oct. 2nd at the Community Center.

Aston’s Community Day will feature a bike and rodeo contest, a parade, opening ceremonies, Community Day expo. Bus transportation will also be provided.

Festivities will open with a parade from Neumann University on Neumann Drive starting at 9:30 a.m. The parade will continue along Concord Road to the Aston Township Community Center. Community groups and organizations, as well as musical entertainment will be featured in the parade.

The Riverfront Ramble will feature live talent and local food and craft vendors.
