The Chester Senior Center (CSC), 721 Hayes St., Chester, held its eighth annual Health Fair for seniors who had their blood pressure and blood sugar checked by health volunteers as well as hearing and vision screened.

“We do this every year for our members,” said Viveca Holmes, program coordinator. “We do try to encourage them to come out as well as the community to come out.”

Health providers present were Keystone VIP Choice, Independence Blue Cross, the City of Chester Bureau of Health and Coventry Health Insurance Plan. Guests were also able to enjoy Traci Lynn Fashion Jewelry.

The event is done to help seniors remain healthier, more active, and independent. The Chester Senior Center is one of five centers in Delaware County under Senior Community Services that provides access to nutrition programs, the Caregiver Academy, volunteer programs, Care Management for low-income residents and many other supports.
