The Chester Business Association (CBA) held it’s third annual Mock Interview Day with  workshops in collaboration with the Chester Upland School District (CUSD), Chester’s Workforce Development Office and the Chester Education Foundation (CEF) at the Chester High School Library last Thursday. Over 75 volunteers participated to help prepare seniors for possible employment by taking them through actual job interviews.

Mock Interview Day“We processed a lot of students, probably close to 200 today,” said Linda Braceland, CBA’s president. “The interviewers have been very impressed with the quality of students and their ability to present themselves.”

Prior to the interviews, students were given training by their teachers and Workforce Development staff; helping them with communications and resume skills in their English classes. After the interviews, students were given an evaluation form filled out by the person who interviewed them that will be reviewed by their teacher.
