The Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts of Aston Township have concluded their Scouting for Food drive and want to thank the community for participation and donations. This year Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 225, sponsored by St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, collected 3,354 canned goods that were later donated to the Sisters of Charity in Chester.

The Sisters make food baskets for the needy in Chester and also help feed AIDS patients and battered women in area shelters. Cub Pack 77, along with Boy Scout Troop 292, sponsored by the Mount Hope United Methodist Church, collected 2,915 canned goods that benefitted the food bank at Mount Hope to help local residents in need.
