The Aston Presbyterian Church will host the special holiday service.

Six local congregations of diverse denominations will unite Sunday, Nov. 20th at 7 P.M. at Aston Presbyterian Church (APC), 2401 Concord Rd., for a community Thanksgiving service to worship and give thanks to God in prayer and song.

“All members of the community are welcome, no matter what denomination,” said Rev. Jane Ritterson, pastor of APC, the host church.

“It’s a great opportunity to worship together across ecumenical lines and learn from one another. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, even though we have different traditions.”

Participating also will be Rev. Dr. Steven Boughter, St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church; Rev. Charles Messer, Calvary Episcopal Church; Rev. Karen Sadvari, Crozerville United Methodist Church, Sister Jean Ustasiewski, OSF, Our Lady of Angels Convent; and Rev. Gregory Wilson, St. James Episcopal Church.

“Each year the service is held at a different church in the community and the service is a reflection of all the congregations,” said Ritterson…
