SWDCMA employee Larry Fisher died last week in an accident at the plant’s pumping station.

A13-year Southwest Delaware County Municipal Authority (SWDCMA) employee died and another unidentified worker was injured when the pair was trapped last week in a well at the SWDCMA pumping station.

Larry Fisher, 53, of Aston, and the unidentified worker were removed from the well at approximately 11:30 A.M., Thursday. A SWDCMA press release said the pair was cleaning a valve in a wet well at the pumping station when they fell unconscious.

No words can express the sadness that comes when such a tragic event occurs,” said Operations Manager Fred Tasker. “On behalf of everyone at Southwest, my deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends of Larry Fisher; they have suffered a devastating loss.”
